A Photographer by accident - that's the phrase which describes me best. I believe that this profession chose me rather than the other way around.

During my summer vacation after college, I pursued photography as a hobby only for the sheer purpose of getting constructive in the holiday time. Who knew that this hobby will become a life changing experience a little later in life. I seemed to take to photography naturally. I was immensely intrigued by the nuances, loved the way I could get capture people and places in frames that would last as a memory of a lifetime. Even after the vacation ended, the passion did not. While I dabbled into various other fields like shipping and real estate, I knew that there was a calling elsewhere. Added to this, the fact that I am an absolute people's person, kept encouraging me to get into a medium which I truly enjoyed. My first big break came in the form of Femina Miss India in the year 2000 while I was still assisting. I was signed on as their official photographer for the next 4 years so I guess someone really liked my work! The relationship grew more stable with time and I continued to do many assignments for Femina, Filmfare and other group publications. There was no looking back thereafter. People gave references for assignments and I found myself increasingly busy as the days went by. Things came full circle in 2010 when I was invited to shoot for Femina Miss India once more after ten years. It was like homecoming for me. Going back to the event where I started from but of course the contest has now grown in stature and is well respected by the audience worldwide. I have often done repeated projects with same clients, which is a very gladdening feeling as it means that my work is appreciated. Wow! Its been over 12 years in this line for me but I still enjoy every single shoot that I do! I feel the same rush of excitement before every shoot and wake up with a smile looking forward to a day's work whether its shooting people, product, fashion film or ad camping's. I am fortunate to be in profession which allows me to add a bit of myself to every frame I click. Every shoot gives me an opportunity to meet so many people from different continents and imagine, it even pays me for the same!!
